At 56 years old, Satchel Paige pitched for the Portland Beavers for the last few weeks of the 1961 PCL season. The soon-to-be Hall of famer faired well vs. the best the PCL had to offer. The Beavs went 4-1 in games that Paige pitched in and he finish the year with an ERA of 2.88.
